Standards

What we test against.

We design and test against the two standards K-12 districts ask about during procurement. Where they overlap, we hold ourselves to the stricter line.

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, Level AA. Published by the W3C and the de facto international standard for accessible web content. Covers perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust criteria across the application.

  • Section 508

U.S. federal accessibility law. Section 508 incorporates WCAG 2.0 AA, so our WCAG 2.1 AA target meets or exceeds the Section 508 baseline for the procurement reviews most K-12 districts run.

How we test

Every release. Before it ships.

Each release runs through a structured accessibility check before it ships. Keyboard-only navigation across every interactive surface. Screen-reader smoke tests with VoiceOver on macOS and NVDA on Windows. Color contrast verified against the AA minimums. Automated linting with axe-core wired into the build.

Accessibility issues are tracked like any other bug — triaged, prioritized, and fixed in a release. If a procurement team needs our current testing posture or a VPAT for their review, email info@manage1to1.com and we'll route it.

Features

What that looks like in the product.

  • Keyboard navigation

Every interactive element — navigation, forms, tables, modals — is reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.

  • Visible focus indicators

Focus states are styled distinctly on every interactive element so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.

  • Color contrast

Text and interactive elements meet the WCAG AA contrast minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).

  • Semantic markup

Headings, lists, tables, and form controls use the correct HTML semantics so screen readers can announce structure accurately.

  • Alt text for meaningful images

Images that convey information carry alternative text. Decorative images are explicitly marked so assistive technology can skip them.

  • Resizable text

Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality, using the browser zoom controls.

Accessibility FAQ

Common questions from procurement.

How does Manage1to1 verify accessibility?

Each release runs through keyboard-only navigation, VoiceOver and NVDA screen-reader smoke tests, color contrast checks, and automated linting with axe-core wired into the build. Accessibility issues are tracked like any other bug — triaged, prioritized, and fixed in a release.

Do you have a VPAT?

A VPAT is available on request for procurement reviews. Email info@manage1to1.com with "VPAT request" in the subject and we will route it.

Does Manage1to1 meet Section 508?

Yes. Section 508 incorporates WCAG 2.0 AA, and our conformance is to WCAG 2.1 AA — a stricter superset — so we meet the Section 508 baseline that K-12 procurement reviews look for.

How do I report an accessibility problem?

Email info@manage1to1.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Include the page URL, the assistive technology and browser you were using, and a short description of what happened. We treat accessibility issues like any other bug — triaged, tracked, and fixed in a release.

Which parts of the product are covered by this statement?

This statement covers the public manage1to1.com marketing site, the staff admin console, the Parent Portal sign-in and invoice payment experience, and the docs site at docs.manage1to1.com.
