Careers at Manage1to1.

We are an employee-owned, fully remote team staffed entirely by former school IT. We build the device management platform we needed when we were the ones running a 1:1 program. Today more than 2,100 districts run on it.

About the team

What working here is like.

Manage1to1 is a small, employee-owned company built by people who used to run school IT. A few things that shape the day to day.

Employee-owned (ESOP)

The parent company, Overwatch Data Services, is structured as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Employees own the company through the plan rather than outside investors.

A team of former school IT

Everyone here came out of K-12 districts: technology directors, network engineers, technicians, and support staff. A shared background means less time explaining the problem and more time solving it.

Fully remote

We are a work-from-anywhere team across the United States, and have been distributed for years. We hire based on fit for the role, not proximity to an office.

Independent and self-funded

We are not venture-backed, and there is no board pushing toward an exit. The company has shipped continuously since 2012 and plans around the districts it serves.

Ownership of your work

On a small team, the work you do ships to real districts and stays yours to see through. There are few layers between an idea and production.

Work districts rely on

More than 2,100 districts run their 1:1 programs on Manage1to1, tracking over 14 million devices. The features you build help schools keep learning devices working.

How we work

How a small remote team operates.

Customer-driven

The features we build come from what school IT leaders ask for. We stay close to the districts using the product rather than building for a hypothetical buyer.

Written and async

Remote work depends on decisions living in writing. We favor clear documentation and short written updates over standing meetings.

Broad roles

A small team means wider responsibilities. People here work across engineering, support, and product rather than staying in a single narrow lane.

Built to last

We have supported the product since 2012. We build things meant to hold up over time and maintain them for the long run.

Open roles

No open positions right now.

We are not hiring at the moment. When a role opens, it will be posted here with the details and how to apply. New openings also go up on our LinkedIn page.
